The majority of our grant-making is to groups, in particular small community and voluntary groups that are charitable in purpose and are working for the benefit of people in Kent and Medway.
If you are new to Kent Community Foundation please ensure you can answer ‘yes’ to the following questions before submitting an application.
- Will you be completing work for the benefit or Kent and/or Medway?
- Are you a registered charity, CIO, CIC, company limited by guarantee (not shares) or a fully constituted group with a constitution/governing document with charitable purposes and a dissolution clause?
- Does your organisation have at least three unrelated members of management? (directors, trustees, committee members or any other members of management committee). Please note you will need to have at least two unrelated bank signatories as well.
If you have answered ‘yes’ to all of the above questions, you are eligible to apply for funding. Please make sure you read the guidance notes for each fund carefully to ensure your organisation and your project are eligible for support.
If you are still unsure about your eligibility, please contact us before filling out a form.
If your organisation has previously been funded by KCF, please visit our funding available page to apply for current funding streams.

MASSIVE 'thank you ' to everyone at Kent Community Foundation. Your funding support is HUGELY appreciated and has enabled us to get into the heart of local communities with REAL, affordable, healthy and tasty food that does so much more than feed people.Community chef Mike Spackman, Sheppey Matters
The funds that we received came at a very important transitional time for Nourish and we have been able to put our expansion plans in place with your help. This has meant that we have been able to increase our coverage and made sure that more people are not going hungry.Nourish Foodbank
Thank you so much for the opportunity to take a break in my caring role. It’s not been an easy time for me recently. Being a dual carer, me-time has been non-existent. This will be the first time that I will have been away on my own in the last 10 years. Thank you so much for your support.Ann-Marie
