KCF opens Coronavirus Emergency Fund
Kent Community Foundation has launched a Coronavirus Emergency Fund
We at Kent Community Foundation recognise the new and significant challenges voluntary organisations are facing in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the financial implications on the sector, and have launched our Coronavirus Emergency Fund to ameliorate some of this impact.
Who can apply?
We will give priority to constituted community groups e.g. charities/CICs, with an average annual income of less than £200,000, who are supporting isolated older people at this time.
The focus of the fund will be to offer community organisations emergency funding to deal with emerging issues in the community, affecting older people, as a result of the continuing threat of coronavirus, and the need for self-isolation, and potential for further exacerbation of loneliness and isolation of these older people.
Organisations should be working to:
- Reduce isolation and vulnerability of older people during any isolation period that may arise as a result of the threat of Coronavirus
- Support ongoing needs of older people to ensure that their wellbeing is maintained
- Provide any initiative that will help ensure older people remain connected with the outside world during this time
Please note: We will also consider applications from organisations working with other affected communities – e.g. families on low incomes, those affected by food poverty, children & young people adversely impacted by Coronavirus.
How much can you apply for?
Grants are up to £10,000 but we anticipate most awards will be for less than that – we want this fund to support as many organisations as possible and so to reach the widest number of beneficiaries.
To apply please complete the simple form found on our Coronavirus Emergency Fund page and send, along with proof of bank account*, to natalie@kentcf.org.uk and admin@kentcf.org.uk
*Those who have received a grant from Kent Community Foundation within the last 12 months do not need to provide proof of bank account
