As International Women's Day approaches on 8th March, and with many observing Women's History Month throughout March, Kent Community Foundation is taking the opportunity to celebrate some of the female-founded organisations that we have been proud to support over our 24 years of grant-making.

In recognition of the significant contributions of women in the non-profit sector, we asked six inspirational female founders of Kent-based charities about their motivations for establishing their organisations, the challenges they faced in getting started, and the ongoing factors that drive their continued commitment to their respective causes.
