Inklusive Developments CIC was established to tackle the complex issues of poverty, poor health, and unemployment in disadvantaged communities.

With a grant of £4,000, Inklusive Developments launched their pilot programme to combat loneliness and social isolation among elderly and isolated residents in Thanet.

The funding enabled them to purchase essential equipment, including four Hybrid Solar ovens that can cook in full, low or no sun conditions, a portable solar array and batteries to support the solar oven operation, a solar operated flow hot water and sink and food supplies.

They held a series of outdoor carbon free solar social eating events and invited the local community to join. Their events not only brought together isolated individuals, providing a warm, welcoming space to share meals but also raised awareness about the benefits of solar cooking and its positive impact on the environment.

MASSIVE 'thank you ' to everyone at Kent Community Foundation. Your funding support is HUGELY appreciated and has enabled us to get into the heart of local communities with REAL, affordable, healthy and tasty food that does so much more than feed people.

Community chef Mike Spackman, Sheppey Matters

KCF's enthusiasm for what we are doing and hoping to do, coupled with helpful advice, gave us the confidence to take this daunting step which has paid off.

Liz Turner, Octopus Foundation

It's great having a foundation that empowers organisations and charities in our community to make real positive differences and changes!
