The Wards Children's Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of courageous children, their families and the charities that support them.

This year's mystical themed awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 21st October 2021 at Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel.

If you know a junior superstar, an amazing family or charity that deserves to be recognised nominate them for a Wards Children Award.

The seven awards open for nomination are:

TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY

An award that celebrates children working hard to overcome severe disabilities and illnesses. This category is awarded to three age groups: 0-5, 6-11 and 12-16

YOUNG FUNDRAISER

This award recognises the child or group of children who have done outstanding work to raise money for charity

GOING FOR GOLD

In the face of adversity, this award celebrates kids who’ve accomplished incredible things in sports, music, visual or performing arts

EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG CARER

This award commends the young carers who are looking after other family members

COURAGEOUS FAMILY

This award celebrates the amazing families coping with severe illness or disabilities

OUTSTANDING CHARITY

Here we reward charitable and voluntary groups who support children facing challenges in life

OUTSTANDING TEACHER FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

In what has been a challenging year for all, this award honours the super star teachers who have gone over and above to support their disabled children
