Kent Community Foundation Summer Garden Party
On Thursday 14 July, 70 guests attended Kent Community Foundation’s Summer Garden Party at Doddington Place Gardens near Sittingbourne.
Guests enjoyed strawberries and cream and a selection of tempting cakes in a marquee within the beautiful private gardens. Guests heard about the positive impact funding has made to the success of Growing For Good, an initiative at HM Prison East Sutton, which aims to reduce reoffending through horticultural training and employment. Josephine McCartney, Chief Executive of Kent Community Foundation and Robert Sackville-West, Chair of Trustees for Kent Community Foundation also spoke about the continuing needs across the county, the Foundation’s plans for the next few years and thanked all of the fund-holders, donors and supporters who continue to make such a huge difference to charitable projects across Kent and Medway.
