The Kent Community Foundation team's return to the office and resuming of community visits

We’re pleased to announce that the KCF team is back in our Ashford office. To ensure that we can continue to work safely, we have a maximum number of staff in the workplace at any one time so that we can maintain social distancing and follow COVID-19 safe measures to protect ourselves and one another.

We are also very pleased that we are able to resume community visits again. We’ll be prioritising meeting organisations we’ve not funded before, but happy to visit any group that would like to meet face-to-face and show us what it is they do. We will be strictly adhering to social distancing and taking precautions to ensure we do not put either ourselves, you or your beneficiaries at risk. We will discuss the visit and any specific policies you may have beforehand. These are our own visiting guidelines as a minimum:

We will:

  • Meet outdoors if possible, if not, in a well-ventilated, socially-distanced public space or your premises.
  • Always register with track & trace services where available.
  • Sanitise/wash hands before & after the meeting.
  • Not shake hands.
  • Postpone a visit if feeling at all unwell.

MASSIVE 'thank you ' to everyone at Kent Community Foundation. Your funding support is HUGELY appreciated and has enabled us to get into the heart of local communities with REAL, affordable, healthy and tasty food that does so much more than feed people.

Community chef Mike Spackman, Sheppey Matters

KCF's enthusiasm for what we are doing and hoping to do, coupled with helpful advice, gave us the confidence to take this daunting step which has paid off.

Liz Turner, Octopus Foundation

It's great having a foundation that empowers organisations and charities in our community to make real positive differences and changes!
