Kent Community Foundation is proud to be Quality Accredited by UK Community Foundations, a programme that endorses and encourages best practice across the Community Foundation network.
We have held this accreditation since 2007, and following a rigorous assessment in 2025, we were delighted to have it renewed. This achievement reflects our commitment to high standards, accountability, and transparency in everything we do.
Quality Accreditation demonstrates that a Community Foundation is serious about quality and governance. It sets out what we do and how we do it, in a way that other quality systems cannot. It also positions Community Foundations as part of a high-performing national network, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.
Holding Quality Accreditation means:
We meet robust standards of governance and service.
We operate with accountability and transparency, giving donors confidence.
We have a platform to share best practice with other Community Foundations across the UK.
Quality Accreditation is based on a set of standards relevant to Community Foundations, covering five key performance areas plus a corporate assessment:
Strategy, governance, definitions and risk
Financial and information management
Philanthropy services and donor management
Grant-making and community participation
Organisational and network development
