This could be visiting a charity that is an exemplar for local engagement, environmental sustainability, or work with refugees. It could be learning from a care home that is pioneering client-led services, a museum that is bringing their collection to life, a resident’s group that runs an amazing community garden, or a sports club that is truly inclusive.
Following your visit or visits, we will pay to help you think through your learning, and to bring in a coach, advisor, consultant, or facilitator to help you develop your plans and your next steps. You will then share what you have learned through a blog, video, or presentation.
The grants of up to £2,000 can be divided into three types of expenditure:
Visit: visit(s) to other charities and organisations (travel, accommodation, food etc)
Plan: working with an advisor to think through your next steps (this can include fees, venue hire, away day expenses)
Support: your time thinking and project planning as well as sharing your learning from the visit

"The flexibility of the grant meant the learning benefited not just one individual, but dozens of learners and our organisation as a whole…I would strongly encourage others to apply.” – Andrew (Thanet Community Development Trust)
"This opportunity allowed me to explore ways to better support vulnerable people, enhance community wellbeing, and to promote the awareness of support available - particularly among ethnic minority groups who may not have access to such information." – Yetunde (Youth Ngage)
