Community Foundations Named Among Top UK Grant Makers

Community Foundations recognised as one of the top five UK grant makers.

We’re proud to share that Community Foundations across the UK, including Kent Community Foundation, have been recognised as one of the top five grant-making organisations in the country.  This prestigious recognition comes from the 2025 Charity Excellence benchmarking survey, which ranked Community Foundations 5th out of 49 major UK trusts and foundations.

The survey also awarded Community Foundations a Runner-Up place for the highly coveted People's Choice Award. This accolade particularly highlights the strong value that charities place on the support, accessibility, and approachability of Community Foundation teams, including Kent Community Foundation.

The Charity Excellence benchmarking survey is highly regarded for its comprehensive assessment of funding organisations, highlighting what charities value most and providing insights into how funders can better support the vital work of the voluntary sector.

We are immensely grateful to Charity Excellence for highlighting the crucial role that Community Foundations play in the charitable landscape. This recognition reinforces our commitment to providing vital funding and support to local charities and community groups across Kent and Medway, enabling them to continue their invaluable work.
