There are so many apps out there that can help you with your marketing activity but which ones do you choose?

Here are eight free ones to help you strengthen your brand and increase your impact, from creating short videos and branded visuals to scheduling tools to make your life easier:

Instagram’s Boomerang app takes a series of photos and creates captivating mini videos that loop back and forth. It is a great tool for bringing to life what would otherwise be a flat picture or to show the personality of your charity and employees.

Boomerang videos can be saved in your Camera Roll and shared across different platforms.

Layout by Instagram helps you combine multiple photos into a single image to create a collage. Upload your photos, choose from a range of custom layouts, drag and drop photos to rearrange them.

Hyperlapse by Instagram enables you to create tracking shots and fast, time-lapse videos. It is a great tool for both stabilising your shots and condensing long experiences into short, snappy time-lapse videos - perfect for fleeting attention spans!

You could use it to show people arriving at a fundraising event, show your project in action, unveil new equipment or building, go behind the scenes or tell a story.

Hyperlapse videos can be saved in your Camera Roll and shared across different platforms.

Check out this example of how Hyperlapse works.

Adobe Spark Post

Adobe Spark Post enables you to create stunning graphics directly from your phone using professionally designed, eye-catching templates.

Splice is a free video editing app by GoPro for iPhone with a lot of features like; trim, crop, effects, transitions, titles, speed controls and animations. It also includes a library of free music and sound effects.

Adobe Premiere Clip

Premiere Clip allows you to auto-generate videos using your images and video if you don’t want to do it yourself. You can also edit your video manually using a variety of tools, effects, and music. It also syncs with Adobe Premiere Pro so you can start a project on one and continue on the next one (you'll need an Adobe Creative Cloud account for this).

FilmoraGo is a video editor app which allows you to do the basics like trim, cut and render videos. It also includes the ability to play in reverse, add music, transitions and overlays, play in slow motion and create square videos (1:1) for Instagram, and 16:9 videos for YouTube.

Buffer helps you share and schedule posts to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, and LinkedIn all from one place.

Upload your content to Buffer which will then be automatically scheduled and spaced out throughout the day across your social channels, you can also custom schedule or post straight away in the app.
