Kent Community Foundation recognises that front-line organisations invest a great deal of resource into applying for funding, and sometimes find it challenging to secure funding for their core work and overheads. Our 2018 Core Support pilot proved the effectiveness of funding these costs directly, and so we are rolling out our core support offer.

Top 10 things you need to know about our Core Support Fund:

  1. Three year tapering support, starting in April 2019
  2. For existing core costs (nothing new) such as; utilities, rent, salaries for service delivery staff and support staff
  3. The “only one application a quarter” rule does NOT apply for this particular pot – think of it as a one-off “extra”
  4. There will be one grant per district in Kent and Medway (13 in total)
  5. The grant is for smaller organisations with an average income of up to £300,000
  6. History of successful grants with KCF – three since January 2016 with all due impact reporting submitted
  7. Priority given to organisations addressing the most urgent needs in their district
  8. If you are successful in your application for Core Support, you would be ineligible for further KCF funding during years one and two
  9. Deadline for application is 15th February 2019
  10. Here is how you apply - download the form and send to natalie@kentcf.org.uk

It's great having a foundation that empowers organisations and charities in our community to make real positive differences and changes!
