Let’s Create Jubilee Fund

Arts Council England has announced a £5 million programme, administered by UK Community Foundations, to support voluntary and community organisations to develop creative and cultural activities across the country as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

The Arts Council England Let’s Create Jubilee Fund is made possible thanks to National Lottery players, who collectively raise £30 million for good causes each week.

Grants of between £750 to £10,000 are available, and applicants are encouraged to partner with established artists, creatives and cultural organisations to develop their activities, ensuring that the Jubilee celebrations become an opportunity for communities throughout England to enjoy the best of the country’s culture and creativity, as well as celebrating an important milestone in our national history.

The types of activities that will be funded are:

  • Music
  • Theatre
  • Dance
  • Visual arts
  • Literature
  • Combined arts - including festivals and carnivals
  • Museum and library activities

The fund is open to voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims and working towards a common goal which does not have to be solely based around arts and culture. This could include youth groups, parent/carer groups and volunteer organisations. However, the application itself has to be focused on creative and cultural activity. Funded activities should be high-quality and inclusive in their approach and culminate in June 2022.

This is a lovely opportunity to bring people together to celebrate, to mark the amazing contribution that Her Majesty the Queen has made to our country, and to realise the power of creativity and community arts in our county.

The funder encourages applicants to work with local artists, creatives or cultural organisations. This collaboration is strongly encouraged for requests over £5,000. If you need help identifying who they are in your area, or you would just like to talk through your idea before applying, contact natalie@kentcf.org.uk.
